turnaround times

Back in March I sent in my last NGC submission to finish off a Mexican and UK set I have there. In the mean time I've sent in 8 submissions to PCGS. All world coins save the one submission for 7 coins. A week after I sent out the NGC submission I also sent 25 coins to ANACS that I got back last month.

PCGS:
Arrived Shipped Status Coins Grading Class
5/16/2024 xx/xx/xxxx Encapsulation 23 World Economy (Mexico)
4/2/2024 xx/xx/xxxx Grading 10 World Quarterly Special - ECO (Egypt, Africa, Mexico, South America)
5/10/2024 6/28/2024 Shipped 2 World Economy (Mexico Crossover)
3/29/2024 6/13/2024 Delivered 15 World Quarterly Special - ECO (Europe, SA, Africa)
5/17/2024 5/24/2024 Delivered 2 Regular
3/14/2024 5/21/2024 Delivered 8 World Economy
3/13/2024 4/17/2024 Delivered 7 Economy
3/14/2024 4/12/2024 Delivered 4 World Regular
NGC:
3/13/24 xx/xx/xxxx Grading 20 World Economy (Mostly Europe and Mexico)

The funny thing about the NGC system is that after 3 months your submission no longer shows up on your submission page, you need to enter your submission number to continue "tracking" your submission.

When I pointed out that their current turnaround time for World Economy is 70 working days (well over 3 months) they basically said: oops.

On another note i sent in a coin for crossover that NGC had graded MS67. It was mark free, but was poorly struck and IMO shouldn't have graded higher than a 65, so I put a minimum grade of MS65 for the crossover and it didn't cross, the other NGC coin crossed a grade lower which was a relief since I was expecting a two grade drop.

Has anyone here ever successfully submitted a coin under their guarantee? I've tried 3 times and have never been successful.

Of course here at PCGS a coin that is deemed 2 or more grades below the slabbed grade is considered a "mechanical error" and most modern and foreign coins don't have recognized values from which to determine fair compensation.

I know this is a hodgepodge of turnaround times and guarantee issues, but I'm here and not there for more than one reason.

I just received my results from my latest submission of Mexican coins from the 1950's. These are some highlights
    :

    The Low lights:
    5 1 50304517 162264 1954-Mo 5C Bronze KM-424, BN Genuine (91 - Questionable Color) Mexico
    7 1 50304519 406708 1955-Mo 5C Bronze KM-424, BN Genuine (99 - PVC Residue) Mexico

    5 was an NGC MS65RB

    7 was an NGC MS64RD

These two coins were some of the last of my old NGC collection. Having trouble finding nice RAW examples I submitted them with disastrous results. Some Acetone should "cure" the 1955, as whatever PVC they saw was minimal and should be easily removed, as for questionable color I always check their POP reports when I think color might be an issue and this coin:
    I
was way more purple than mine, so I didn't think it would be an issue.

PVC can be a problem since many of those MS coins probably resided in souvenir coin holders that were made out of PVC loaded plastic.

    All glory is fleeting.

After soaking the PVC coin to remove any residue I'm going to resend, still not sure what to do with the "Questionable Color" coin.
