Does This Dime Have a Very Small Clip?

Not my coin, not considering purchasing it. Just came across it and am curious if I’m correct in thinking that the small irregularity in the rim is due to a very minor clip in the planchet.

Hmmm. This is one for our resident clip expert @seanq
Yes. Commonly called a "rim clip" because it only affects the rim. They are cute but generally not worth too much of a premium.
Nice dime. Do you have full obv and rev photos?

That's actually a very cool rim clip. Interesting that it shows less clip at the center than the two corners. I think that may indicate it was a straight clip versus a curved one.
Note there is a small amount of weakness on the obverse opposite the more obvious reverse weakness.

--- If it should happen I die and leave this world and you want to remember me. Please only remember my opening Sig Line.Yes as others have already said, it is a small rim or disc clip. Most of the ones I have seen on Mercs are from Philadelphia, that your coin is from San Francisco makes it even cooler.
