I figured this sale deserves its own topic.

This Royal 1715 8 escudos MS-68 sold for 809k (buyer's fee included included):

    Previous high for a coin from Mexico was 587k 1536 8 reales Mexico. Only 3 are known of this extremely rare coin.

    It's rare but there are numerous dates as opposed to one for the 8R.

    Uber high grade and large gold win out.

    Actually, another example of the C&J 8R sold for $587,500 in 2014.

    Thanks Pruebas I made the changes. I did not know about that sale only the one over at HA back in 2018.
