Cool. I don’t think I’ve seen one in the wild in several years.

Excellent photos! What type of lighting did you use?

Nice!

Nice score and nice shape, I like 👍
Someone got into someone else's coin collection. There is no way that could have been in circulation for 73 years and still look that nice.

Love the hints of color! And an S to boot...
Probably heirs quickly dumping those old coins they found in the estate. Who uses pennies anymore when we have I-Phones?
Those are some really good pictures, and a nice looking cent to pick from circulation!

Nice cent👍 my birth year too. I’m pretty sure that cent is in better shape than I am🤪. Nice coin to get in change.
Agree with all above - really nice coin, superbly photographed. I'd go back to that store and buy some more stuff with cash!

I actually went back 2 days ago and bough some chips and slim-jims and received some 69 S pennies . This is one of them. I have 2 more 69 S that I will photograph later.
That 51-S sure was tucked away somewhere and protected for a long time. 👍

I would be going back to that store and asking to search that register.
Years ago, I received change from a store. A couple of dime and 3 cent. I looked at the cents and they were "ALL" brand (with blast mint luster) 1941 wheat cents. I asked the clerk if I could see the penny's in the register. The whole cent tray was full of 1941's. It must have been a entire roll. He let me have them for face value. A very nice one.
Agree with PerryHall. As I like to say, that one was recently liberated from a collection; no way that cent has been in everyday circ. since 1951. Nice pick-up! That is a keeper.
Got a 1944 Wheatie in change today. Sorry no photo, but I believe most here know what one looks like.😀
Here are some photos of another 69 S.
