Coin sent in for restoration...

I sent this coin in and ever since it has said GRADING. Now today it changes to IN PROCESS. Don't believe I remember that happening. Does that mean it is in the Restoration Process or what exactly. Never used restoration before. Not concerned with time frame, not in a hurry at all. Just curious as to what the proces terminology means. Thanks to any who know of the Restorations Steps.
