Finally taking the plunge and bought the 2 morgan dansco books. Already have 30+ spots filled 😅 a few tough years too, 1896-o,1891-o,1897-o, 1887-s.
This is going to be, and already is fun! Might do the date only dansco with toners next 🤔

That is going to be quite a plunge and accomplishment when it's done. Keep us posted. Best of luck and enjoy the project. 👍

In your quest!
The CC hunt will be the most challenging aspect.
I ❤ the
Morgan Dollars.
Are you chasing any VAMS too?

Best of luck! Enjoy your journey! 👍
When I did a Morgan Dansco, I knew I’d neither have the stamina nor the budget to do all the date and mint combinations, so I went with the simplified Dansco #7179 album: the one-per-year date set. (No need for pricey CC coins that way.)
And I attempted a matched collection of only circulated coins with a very specific look.
This look. The CircCam look.
I called it my “Greysilver Collection”.
It was fun, albeit just a sideline for me. I eventually sold the coins and album (less than complete), and moved on to other things. But I enjoyed it for a little while.
Nice! I’m doing similar to Lordmarcovan, just a Morgan date set. Only it’s mostly BU and in a large Wayte Raymond Album. I was able to fill 17 holes just by going through my raw coins I had just lying around.

Enjoy the hunt. Keep us updated.
I've got a date only book 7171 and the peace dollar book on the way... For the date only I'm considering doing a pl/dmpl and monster toners... Maybe. Either way won't be cheap so that one will probably take a good while!

Morgan dollars are an interesting set, for a variety of reasons. And fun to collect, since so many of them are quite common and easy to find/afford in high grades (to me, MS63 qualifies as "high grade"). But there also are a LOT of very expensive ones (though none that are particularly hard to find); particularly those minted from 1892 through 1895, and the Carson City examples from other years.
I have enjoyed collecting them a great deal; I hope you do, too.
