Personally and respectfully, it’s hard justifying keeping a $100 note just because the serial number is somewhat interesting. Maybe someone on eBay would give you a couple of bucks over face value, but is it worth the trouble ?
And then there's the Ebay fees, so, realistically, it's worth $100. Solid serial numbers are worth considerable premiums but, even if this note was 11116666, it would only be worth a small premium, if you could find a buyer. $1s and $5s are much cheaper to collect. $100s are hoarded for cash value, not collected as much.
Collector and dealer in obsolete currency. Always buying all obsolete bank notes and scrip.
