PCGS Grading - France gold medals - how to find PCGS Coin numbers
Hello all,
I was hoping for some assistance from the PCGS submission gurus. I have a few unholdered France Gold medals that I would like to get submitted and holdered by PCGS. I can't find any auction records that would show a PCGS "Coin Number" for submission. If anyone can give some guidance, that would be greatly appreciated.
Questions:
1) How do I request that PCGS put the gold weight (grams) on the holder?
2) How do I request that PCGS include the Medal type, location, event, etc if not known when submitting to PCGS?
Anyway, here are the gold medals, if PCGS has specific Coin numbers for these and anybody knows them, or knows how to research them and share them, I would be much obliged.

Thanks again,
Tyler

They may not exist. Best thing to do is write the description in the sub and they will create a number if one doesn't already exist. Otherwise, look for auction results at ha or SB and they'll have the PCGS number.

Superbes médailles.
PCGS says that they will holder French Medals, between 1515-1958, as listed in "Mitchner" reference.

I am GUESSING that they are referring to "Jetons, Medalets and Tokens: The Low Countries and France v. 2" by Michael Mitchiner.
If you have access to this reference, you could conduct more research there.
Edited to Add:
I checked with PCGS CS. According to the rep I communicated with, my GUESS about the reference was correct. IOW, the reference that PCGS uses for "French Medals" is "Jetons, Medalets and Tokens: The Low Countries and France v. 2" by Michael Mitchiner.
