PCGS cleaning service

I was asked at a coin show today that if someone sent in to PCGS a coin to be cleaned and then they wanted it graded does PCGS put the “Cleaned” designation on the coin when grading it or do they give the coin an actual grade and put the coin in a slab? Does anyone know the answer ? I’m going to the show tomorrow and told them I would ask and see if I could find out..
Thank you for your assistance in advance

  • I just found the answer it appears environmental damaged coins using the restoration process will be graded and then placed in a holder with no reference to the restoration of that coin.
