Is this set worth anything more than the silver in your opinion?

Absolutely it is. I wouldn't be the best one to price it though.

My gut tells me they are worth a premium to silver, but the exact premium depends on the market in which they will be sold (venue) and how long you want to hang onto them until they sell (time vs money).
I think it will be a lot more than silver price since the mintage is only 2k.
I’m seeing a lot of earlier Chinese moderns going for crazy money. Your set has a very low mintage.
Here’s an auction example for one of them. I’ll give you 10x melt lol.

When buying foreign coins you need to be very careful with varieties. The example you posted is a thinker version which the mintage is only 500. So it is different from OP's version (1000 mintage). see PCGS mintage.

Thanks, these coins are super thick they are piefort, whatever that means.. Is that different than peidfort? Or is it a translation thing?
Looks like you got the piedfort. So confused abut the mintage. I checked a book it also said 500 mintage each coin. Maybe the 2000 is come from 500 X 4. if yours are thicker coins then it will be expensive since you have a set.
From what I was able to find, the NGC price guide only shows the standard version which had a mintage of 15,000. PCGS shows the piedfort version with a 500 mintage. This Heritage listing shows it at 2000 which matches the COA. So maybe PCGS just got it wrong.
Chinese coins are hot and even a mintage of 15,000 carries a hefty premium. So whether it is 500 or 2000 for the piedfort it is going to be worth a lot of money either way.
