Its not a basketball move when youre two feet away from the ball and its consistently happening and thats not the first time its happened with that team. It wasnt even close and was coming from behind but somehow was a perfect hit to the side of the head

I don’t think I’ve ever seen all five defenders simultaneously focusing on one player.

Caitlins influence is undeniable. she played in atlanta last night and the atlanta dream set a franchise record for attendance. over 17,500 people. their normal "arena" has a capacity of 3,500. because of record breaking ticket sales, they had to move the game to the atlanta hawks arena to hold the capacity crowd.

tickets for Clarks next game, in chicago, are the now selling for the highest on record for an WNBA game. $351/seat. the next 4 highest average ticket prices are also for Caitlins games. unfortunately, they will not set attendence records in chicago as the united center is already booked for a justin timberlake concert, so they will only be able to sell 10,000 tickets.

anyone who denies Clarks impact on attendance is living in a dream world. WNBA needs to market the heck out of her right now.

George Brett, Roger Clemens and Tommy Brady.

According to ESPN data shes currently the 4th most popular athlete in US sports behind only Lebron, Tiger and Curry. She probably could have passed Curry or Tiger by now if the league would be embracing her and promoting the cash cow shes bringing to them instead of trying to tear it down.

Couldn't find one with all 5 Pistons defenders locked in on Jordan but this comes close to summing up what he went through and its sort of relative to what Caitlin clark is going through. MJ had to improve his conditioning drastically in preparing for those long playoff runs then usually had to go through Detroit but he also needed his teammates like Pippen & Grant to help take some of that heat off him.

Clark needs to toughen herself up too but its also time for the other Fever starters to start taking some of that pressure off of her. Indiana has drafted some decent talent in recent years in Aliyah Boston (WNBA 2023 draft 1st overall pick) and NaLyssa Smith (2022 2nd overall pick. ) They can't prevent her from taking shots to the head but they can make it so that the opposing defender will need to think twice about sliding off to help defend Clark. Its going to be real interesting to see how she progresses from here.

She's supremely talented and classy among many peers who are classless. She's played a lot of basketball with really no break between college and pros. Next season she should be even better. Already she's turning her team into winners.

Caitlin is the best thing that's happened to women's basketball since James Naismith.

Michael Jordan's impact on attendance was unbelievable. He was the Beatles, Elvis and Swift all rolled up in one. After his rookie season I think I heard that he sold out every single game that he played in. They would play games in large non basketball arenas to fill the demand and there still wasn't enough seats. I remember him coming to Seattle and they put the court in the middle of the Kingdome. Getting tickets to see the Bulls was going to cost you an arm and a leg.

I should start by saying I know I am in the minority around here as a WNBA fan but WNBA games are really fun... at least here in Vegas. GREAT entertainment and sold out every game. Of course, it's Vegas and back-to-back champs with 4 (of 12) Olympians on the starting 5 so that helps! We have season tickets. Sold both Fever games. I don't recall exactly but we pay $100 per seat and I think those sold for about $450 (including all fees) on Stub. Most games sell for around $100-150/ticket by comparison... except NY Liberty which also sell for more - maybe $250-300 for those games.

This week we decided to buy tickets last minute and go to the Aces v. the Fever at T-Mobile Arena (yes both games moved from Mich Ultra 12,000 person venue to T-Mobile 20k person venue). Got good seats near the visitors bench. Was an epic event. Amazing number of Caitlin fans in attendance!

The applause difference between Fever and Aces was very similar (felt like a Raider game at Allegiant Stadium) but slightly more for the Aces. However, at one point Kate Martin came into the game and it really seemed like the biggest applause of the night - all the Aces fans and all the Iowa fans! Was unusual I thought. It seemed like half the state of Iowa was there - side note: Iowa fans are GREAT - they consistently contribute in a major way on the Sacramento Kings fan pages solely due to us having Keegan Murray.

T-Mobile Arena opened about 2015 and this crowd (20,366) was announced as the largest sports crowd in T-mobile Arena history. Bigger than Stanley Cup Finals but of course that's due to size of the rink taking away seats. However, it was also bigger than any NCAA tournament game, NBA in-season championship, UFC, boxing, etc.... which to me is pretty impressive. We get a lot of great sporting events there but this was the biggest crowd!

As a Golden Knights season ticket holder we go to a lot of games and this was the fewest empty seats BY FAR in all of the 100+ times I have been to games there... BY FAR. I saw one section (a "bunker suite") of 16 seats near the visitors bench that was empty but otherwise no blocks of seats anywhere in the arena. It was very full!

I encourage all you big sports fans to catch a Fever game if they come to your town... or an Aces game for that matter. Really, the gals can play!

I’m one of the many Caitlin fans that never watched the WNBA before this season, and have been watching it religiously lately. I have watched every Fever game, and a good number of games featuring the better teams like the Aces.

I admit I have been surprised at how entertaining the games are given all of the extreme negativity that has followed the league for years. I do think there are some fundamental problems, including poor refereeing, poor overall shooting (with obvious exceptions), and too much sloppy ball handling. These factors to me result mostly in a few frustrating moments in otherwise very watchable games.

One thing that I think is undeniable is that Caitlin Clark draws more defensive energy than anyone else in the league. And I understand why that would be. But poor Caitlin almost never has an open look. I watch other games and the spacing seems more NBA like. It’s partly her teammates not doing their part to get her open, but I have never seen the kind of defensive energy put on her by Kahleah Copper and several others. They’re literally ruining their own offensive game tiring themselves out guarding her.

I assume as the novelty wears off Caitlin will be treated more like everyone else. Hopefully the league’s newfound attention will continue as well. I will definitely keep watching.

Pair up the Caitlin Clark vs. Angel Reese rivalry with the emergence of Bird and Magic in 1980, including being opponents in an NCAA title game and creating an exciting new attraction in a league that needed to put more people in the seats. The similarities are rather strong.

    Gobble.

Clarke the first WNBA rookie to have a triple double. Clark also had over 700K votes for the allstar game with the most votes. Last year the most votes was under 96 thousand. Its getting crazy the impact shes had on the popularity of the league

And the Fever took out the 17-3 Liberty thanks to a 4th quarter comeback in front of a packed house! Honestly Caitlin had a mediocre shooting day, but she doesn’t let it affect the rest of her offensive game. One of these days she’ll have her usual 10+ assists and also put up 40!

Caitlin Clark may be the greatest underappreciated player of all time by her fellow players in a professional sports league.

Fever were awful in today’s game against the Mystics. Bad defense, tons of turnovers, early foul trouble. Were down 21 at the end of the 3rd quarter. But in the 4th quarter they finally figured it out. Still lost by five, but Caitlin finished with 29 pts/13 assists.
