What causes this type of Bicentennial quarter rim issue?

I don’t think it’s PMD, but I’m 110% ignorant to these types of things.



Apologies in advance, I know the pics suck. Sorry. I’m very coin photography deficient.

Having fun while switching things up and focusing on a next level PCGS slabbed 1950+ type set, while still looking for great examples for the 7070.

    It's a rim fin, caused by high striking pressure or a tilted die. Probably a tilted die because it is in just one area of the coin.
