Pair of 1879 SLHD’s: which do you like better?

Well,

I now own (just purchased a dup) 2 1879 SLHs and just wondered from the group which I should keep for my set and WHY?

    Both appear to me to be the same grade, but I like the ANACS coin better because of the color (I am assuming the pix are accurate). Tough date!

    Tough. While I like the eye appeal of the ANACS piece - I have some suspicions on its fields' surfaces.
    I'd go with the PCGS piece in this sight unseen scenario.

    The PCGS coins was terminal black at one point in my opinion. The ANAC coin offers a better appearance and probably will go better with the other coins in your collection. James

    ANACS from these photos, it has far more eye appeal.

    ANACS. The coin needs to be regraded if one wants to try of CAC approval. CACG would likely knock it back to F12.

    I like the ANACs eye appeal in comparison. The shield liberty isn’t as defined that might impact the grade on a cross. Nonetheless, I’d lean toward the lighter overall color.
