So, I am going to be sending these coins to get graded by our host tomorrow and I just want to see what y'all think they'll come back as.

I would probably use MS70 the Franklin due to the apparent negative eye appeal of the surface haze. As it is probably 66 Cam on that one.
    63 on the 1884, 58 on the 81-O, and 65 on the 79-S and 78-S. I like those two a lot.

  • PCGS recently (about a week ago) moved them to grading. So, there's a chance I see them again🤣

I can't grade Proofs, but the morgans:
    1884: MS62
    1881-O: AU53
    1879-S: MS65
    1878-S MS65

Nice Frankie. Not familiar enough to gtg
    Morgans:
    84......MS62
    81-0...MS61
79-S...Unc details Scratches obv and reverse(best I could tell from photos)
78-S...MS63 Cannot tell how badly lower cheek and neck scratched from photo
Just my opinion, and probably why I was never a grader, especially from photos.

I’m confused 🤔 one would assume proofs are your forte.

I like to buy them, That doesn't mean I feel comfortable grading them from pictures which seems impossible.

Are you saying these sat in the “received” stage at pcgs for ~3 months before they moved to the “grading” stage? That is borderline ridiculous, I’m sorry to say.

I’ve had orders take upwards of a year to complete for various reasons (pedigrees and research), but never had an order sit in “received” for anywhere near that length of time.

have they started to use registered mail to move coins between departments?

I use a local coin dealer for getting coins graded and that is what he told me. So, I'm guessing he waited until there were enough for a bulk submission. I'd say that around June 20th or 25th were when the coins were sent in and other than that I have no idea what he sent with them or what tier he used. But if I get them before the end of this month 'Great' if not 'Oh well' at least it'll be an early Christmas present 😂
(Edit: So, I stopped on by the coin shop I sent them in at and they called PCGS and the customer service rep. said that the coins were received on/around July 11th or 12th and that I should get them back in around a month give or take.)

I should be able to post the grades Saturday night or Sunday morning as the coin shop just got them back from PCGS.

It looks like there's some toning underneath.

wow, your picture taking skills have seemed to improve during the months your coins were gone. Your pics are comparable to the True Views. Some of the 'guesses' were real close.
