1984 Fleer Update Set Value

Hi everyone,

Many years ago, I bought a sealed 1984 Fleer Update Set and had four cards submitted to PSA:

  • Roger Clemens
  • Kirby Puckett
  • Dwight Gooden
  • Pete Rose

They call came back in 9 and the Rose came back 10. The rest of the set is in similar shape and is currently housed in an MJ Roop slip sleeve binder labeled 'Fleer Update - Baseball - 1984'. I have the original box with the stickers which came with it as well.

APR value for the graded cards alone shows $791 but am curious as to what a fair price would be for this set.

I do not have time for ignorant trolls.

I'd guess a fair retail price would be in at least the 1000-1200 range. There's several completed auctions on good ol' eBay which include sets with graded rookies.

If you look on EBAY for recent sales for your four graded cards you will get a good idea on the value.

I agree, completed ebay sales data will give you the answer.

George Brett, Roger Clemens and Tommy Brady.

These sets did not come sealed. If it is sealed someone did it after the fact but great grades one of my favorite sets of all time

    Thanks for the input.

I checked recently closed sales. Ungraded complete sets look like they have been going for about $350, the graded cards APR at $800, and figure the binder adds another $100 in value and will probably list here for $1,000 and then to eBay if needed.

Puckett sells for around $300.00, Clemens $250, Gooden $140 and Rose $130.
None of the other cards are really worth grading.
About $820.00 worth of cards, at best.

Checking and Saberhagen in 9 goes for about $50.

I think that between the graded cards, the complete set, and the Roop binder $1,000 is a fair price.
