you would think the company could have a high dollar sign, something that didn't look like a spray painted stencil.
When Stacks was at their old location a few years back they had this type of machine. I remember them having an even older one.
I believe theirs one in the UAE as well.
Successful transactions with: AnonMan, Commoncents05, JJM, PerryHall, Danielp, greenwr, Along, Herb_T, Downtown1974, masscrew, coinnerd, liefgold, JWP, Relaxn, Pnies20, Weiss, Type2, dm679864, pointfivezero, and more!
10+ years ago there was one in the Golden Nugget casino in Vegas. I bought a small bar just for kicks. I remember premium being pretty high.
My Ebay Store
Not surprising with the high premium at a casino.
However it would seem to be a good idea for say a Walmart, Target, etc. Especially because selling gold it seems has worked out well for Costco. Just place the machine in the same area as the ATM and Coinstar.
Department stores run sales all the time just to get folks into their stores, with the hope they buy more. These stores could even do this as a "close to cost" type of sale. Get folks into the store to buy say $100 worth of gold, then they shop around and purchase other items.
I'm not sure how sophisticated these machines can be. They could even offer some affordable PCGS slabbed gold coins. Might turn out to be very popular. Perhaps even stimulate new collecting interest in our hobby.
Next time I'm in Seoul having some fishhead soup. Ima pick me up a few.
