Considering these for NSCC

Let me know your thoughts on these. I'm pretty sure the Clemens is worth it, not sure on the Henderson's. I think the Montana is maybe a 7... could be an 8.

Rickey 01

Rickey02

Clemens

Montana

I have another Schmidt which is better but I think this one is better signed as well.

    Nice cards. My guesses. Clemens=9. Henderson = 8. Montana=7......Schmidt looks closer to a 9.

Oops - that is the wrong Schmidt. There are 2 different Henderson RCs.

Here is the Schmidt I am on the fence about.

Take the 8 on the Schmidt. It will not re-grade higher.

    The 2nd 8 Schmidt.

I probably should have said that my intention is to get these autographed, along with others, but these were some questionable ones. I’m not looking to crack and bump grades and I wouldn’t be terribly unhappy if a grade dropped. I’ve dealt with that so many times that I’m now numb.

I agree that the 5xxxxxxx Schmidt doesn’t have a high probability of getting an 8 again.

I'm not sure I understand what you are asking for here? Are you asking which ones you should take to have autographed? If so, is your intention to have them slabbed/graded after you get them signed?

And, If you only have one each of the Clemens and Montana, does it matter??

I would do the 2nd Rickey and the 2nd Schmidt... since you would need to crack it anyhow. Leave the nicer one in the slab.

I'm looking for opinions on what others might do given the condition of these cards because I was on the fence. I wasn't planning on sending any raw cards along, but I was looking through a box and came across a bunch of cards that I had separated at one point for grading and these were in there.

So - long story short - I have a bunch of cards which are going there to get signed, and these popped up and I was soliciting opinions to inform my decision. Any that I send will get auto'd, slabbed, and graded by PSA.

Every year we lose more greats.

Awesome and thanks for the clarification. I stand by my previous post since you are going to have them graded as well.

Sell the low end 8 Schmidt and buy a mid grade raw example for him to sign.
