Possible error note

Hoping to get some opinions on this note, looks like a low ink error, but not sure.
Any help is appreciated.

If both sides are affected, it is more likely environmental damage.

Not an error, it looks like it has been attacked by some sort of chemical.
You wouldn’t have low ink on both sides and on both the green and black stations.

    Definitely post printing trauma.
The inks used in the intaglio printing process are different than the inks used for the overprint. The chemical used to lighten the note only affected the intaglio ink.

Thank you guys, I was hopeful, .... but realistic!
We'll display it as an example of how notes can be altered.
