N5: ALTERED STOCK designation for Pokémon packs

I recently sent in some Pokémon packs for grading. 4 of the packs were Pokémon Organized Play (POP) Series 6 packs. Of the 4, 2 were identified as N5: ALTERED STOCK and returned ungraded.

The packs are still sealed - the other 2 packs were graded PSA 9. I'm trying to figure out the nature of the 'Altered stock' designation. I have not yet called customer support to inquire.

"Altered stock" with packs is the designation used for packs that have been determined after evaluation to have been resealed or altered. It can also mean the seal on back has popped if it's a wax or cello pack.
