There are about a hundred basement slabbers out there. Hard to say without some sort of name.
Could even be a collector who slabbed his own coins. Whoever it was, it is certainly not a recognized grader.

Why no reverse pic? The company name would most likely be on the reverse slab label.

Agree with Blanchard. I have one with the same type of label and font, and pattern on the plastic.

Blanchard style slab ... there are a couple of other companies that have used it over the years, including

Not aware that Tulving did, their "slabs" are a white plastic with a clear window, clips, and a sticker holding it shut.

Yeah I recall then Tulving “window” slabs but I thought they did “full” slabs as well, but maybe not

Not saying they didn't, but I've never seen one.

The thing about Blanchard is they were an FPG (First Party Grader), but their stuff was generally decent. Of course that was the Wild West era of grading, so well, buy the coin, not the slab.

Didn’t ACG use that same slab? Or something very close to it.

Having fun while switching things up and focusing on a next level PCGS slabbed 1950+ type set, while still looking for great examples for the 7070.

I treat them like raw coins.

Do you have any for sale based on raw coin prices plus a reasonable mark up? If you have any (especially like the ones I posted) I'd like to make a deal.

Not the same, but ACG was very similar looking.

Nope. Similar plastic, but different in configuration.

The 20 coin slab holding 20 copies of the same issue in the same grade is cool — but it’s also more than a little odd.

It’s the kind of thing that makes you go, “Why?”

It's a slab for an entire "ROLL" of Peace dollars. With Blanchard being a FPG, they selected 20 coins at that grade.

Thanks for pointing that out; the idea of a “slabbed roll” never occurred to me. Great concept!
