Looks like Vin Baker to the Celtics is a done deal

Two league sources have confirmed that baker and Shammond Williams are going to the Celtics for Kenny Anderson, Joe Forte and Vitaly Potapenko.

    How can Baker be overrated? I can't think of any player held in lower regard leaguewide. If he does anything it'll be considered a success.

    Vin Baker was an all star a few years back. He is still a good, quality player.

    vin baker got a huge contract and he don't deliver the goods.

    That's called got the money and quit working type of player.

    and i think the winner of this deal are the celtics. they get a decent big man and a young pg.

    sonics got 3 players in which anderson wont be resigned next yr and vitlay is going to warm the bench. forte is a good addition and they can develope him.

    Youre right ejones- celtics got a nice backcourt and now they have a pretty good "frontcourt" player. Its going to be intersetding watching them play next year...

    ebok, you don't seem to get it. To be overrated, the player must have people who would rate him highly, and are thus "over"rating him. If everyone thinks a guy sucks, and he sucks, that's not overrated.

    As far as the trade, I just don't know who will play PG for Boston. Delk? Uh, no. As for Forte, he was a waste of space, I'm glad the Celtics unloaded him, but sorry they drafted him over Parker and Tinsley in the first place.

    don't you you see he gets paid big money which means the owners RATE HIM high! He doesn't earn his big paycheck so YES he's overrated.


    Why am I even arguing about vin baker? What a waste of time.

    good... I didn't like Baker very much... but Shammond... why did they get rid of him?
    Kenny Anderson and Jo Forte wont start becuz of Payton and Mason/Barry
    and Potapenko... hey, I think he is better than Booth... so why not start him if JJ (jerome james) is out from the team

    they resigned JJ? sweet... I didn't know becuz I have been out of town for 5 days
    and Payton being around the league... they better not becuz who will back him up? so I wonder if so, if they traded him and who they would get... since shammond is now out

    long ago, it was spree for gp

    prior to the draft, it was gp for zo

    now, who knows?
