My collection of 200 banknotes from around the world
Late last year I did a road trip and picked up these 150 banknotes from around the world.
To be honest, I am much more of a coin collector, but I thought these notes were pretty cool. They're mostly housed in Dansco #7001 Currency albums. I'm not sure which notes are rare or valuable, so I'm hoping the community can help me out.
I only included photos of one side of the banknote, otherwise it would have been over 400 photos!
Let me know if you want additional photos of a specific note!
You can view the photos of the banknotes by clicking on the album link

Comments
The value of each note is highly dependent on 3 factors:
a) condition (unless scarce: not eBay or social media "rare" but truly a seldom seen note) the condition should be EF (Extra Fine or nearly perfect) to UNC (perfectly centred & just as crisp as the day it was printed)
b) popularity (# of collectors who go after a certain type of note; for example hundreds of bundles (X100) or millions of UNC Zimbabwe $100 Trillion notes were sold to the public in the past decade or so yet there's no end to the demand)
c) a note's characteristics (special serial #? scarce signature/short design type/error? etc)
None of your notes I've looked at (on your album links) hit any of the above 3 factors & most suffer in terms of extreme circulation. Some notes that may be worth something have pieces missing or writing on them. Your oldest Thai note looks like an old scarce variety but it has "Siamese" written on it. I may have missed some (you didn't post the backs of the Australian notes so I cannot see the serial numbers so I lost interested in some of the images as they don't tell the whole story).
My suggestion to you is to check out Numista, register & see if you can trade some of your notes for coins (if you're a coin guy).
Good luck!

Thank you!
Most of your world notes aren't my forte but I looked at the few pieces that represent the U.S. and I found a little gem there. Your 12 1/2 cent "private banknote" is actually quite a rarity. It's a merchant scrip note engraved by Wm. Kneass (A US mint engraver), and one that I haven't seem before. It appears to be signed by a "Richards". Despite the low grade and damage and fact that these are anything but popular and widely collected, I would offer you another 12 1/2 cent private banknote in much better condition along with $100. I (and perhaps a few others) collect Kneass engraved notes.
I understand that you may want to keep this interesting note as it is probably the best note presently in your collection. Despite it's damaged condition and few collectors, it's rare and significant.
That's great to hear! Thanks for checking them out & sharing with us @sellitstore ! Hope something good works out for you @AlbumNerd !

Thank you for the insights and I'll take you up on your offer! I'd much rather the note be in the hands of someone who would appreciate it much more than I can.
Send me a pm!
