I'm thinking about pulling my sets for awhile...

They have not been moving due to school and lack of coin time. This way, others will be bumped up one step closer to the top...

What do you all think?

I personally don't see the need for you to pull your sets just because you are not adding to them for a while.

    Thumb down! Don't pull.

There are a ton of "works in progress". And pulling your set to allow someone to move up doesn't make sense to me. When you re-enter you set that's going to bump someone out of the spot you take. If someone wants to move up a notch, let them up grade.

Taking a collecting break is not a good reason. Pull when you sell.

I agree with the other 2 gents. A Registry set is a work in progress. Some progress fast, others slow. Hang till you sell. Mark

  • Leave your sets ; for most of us , the Registry Sets are works in progress . It may be months before you can add or upgrade a coin , but so what ? Keep your spot. If someone else wants it , they can upgrade and take it.

    Ray,

I went 10 months one time without updating my MS Buffalo set...and after the two coins I did add recently it might be another year before I get back to adding any more...and I think its just fine that my set is just sitting there. I say keep your set up.

MIne's definitely a work in progress! Leave it in. You'll want to add them back again later anyway.

Ray, leave them in there until they send you an overdue notice.

I agree with everyone else. That is, unless you have a proof JFK set above number 18.image

  • I would keep your sets where they are, in the registry if the only reason you are considering pulling them is due to lack of add/update activity. The registry is a work in progress for many (as has been said by others in this thread).

Maybe we should put this to a vote. I'll start.

KEEP YOUR SETS IN THE REGISTRY! image

Keep them listed so we can mock you. image

More seriously, keep them listed so you can recall all the enjoyment you had collecting them and so that others can see them.

    Keep them in there!!!

I've been searching for 5 Lincolns for 6 months and I haven't found them yet! Some of my sets have been idle for almost a year since I have been focusing on the Lincoln series.

Ray, it's settled. You're keeping your coins listed.

Along with me, and all the others, that have works in progress.

hank you all for your support, part of my reasoning is over the past year, I have been watching the sets go down, down, down the list.....Kind of sad. I figured, I could remove the sets, then when I started picking up on the purchases again, I could add them in like 5 at a time. For you know a few days or so. Maybe add them with pictures...I don't know. Maybe I'll just go into picture mode and start adding pictures of them all....Who actually looks at the pics anyway.

If I do, I will not add photos that do no justice, they are a waste of time. I will figure out how to take good pics.

    Thanks for your input folks,
    Ray
