    What’s so special?

I manage money. I earn money. I save money .
I give away money. I collect money.
I don’t love money . I do love the Lord God.

The 1891 quarter is considered the pinnacle of "Kingdom coins." This record-setting example, which Scheper called "the Holy Grail for coin collectors" in RTL Nieuws, was the only one available on the open collecting market, and has had just four owners in the past century.

Had an estimate of 300k to 400k.

If I was going to spend 1.1 million it would be on other coins.

    Just me . 🤓

That’s neat. Made more than the (slightly more common) English Charles II petition crown that recently sold!

Good for Dutch numismatics, obviously a spectacularly rare/unique piece.

You can build a museum quality Latin American coin collection with that kind of money. In the end to each their own.

If someone collects Dutch coins, why would they care about building a collection of Latin American coins?

I did not say otherwise I said to each their own. The coin that sold seems like an amazing coin and I imagine the buyer must be very happy with it since that is what they collect. I respect that.

I was just replying to Bidask's comment. You are no idiot MrEureka I never implied such a thing. People collect whatever they collect I am no one to judge. I was simply day dreaming of how many nice Latin American coins I would be able to buy with those types of funds. I was not putting the coin down...seems like an amazing coin with only 2 minted!!!
