2006 Commemorative with “Morgan-style” reverse

In case you were not aware, this 2006 commemorative has a very “Morgan dollar style” reverse. This was a coin I got from my father who collected commemoratives, I was showing some other friends and many did not know the US mint made these - so I thought I’d share here! Would they have used this die for the modern versions??

It looks like a souvenir token you'd buy in the mint gift shop. Maybe even "struck on one of the old mint presses".
