I’m not sure exactly how this came into my possession but looking it up on eBay it must be WW2 era. Anyone have any other info on it?

It looks like a hardball glove from back then.
I realize it says "soft ball" on it. Perhaps that was meant to imply it had extra padding in it versus a regular glove?
Could be a glove made for US army use, and they used the designation "soft ball" for inventory purposes versus gloves issued to their hard ball teams?
In any event, there's one similar selling on Ebay right now, the buyer is asking $140. Maybe it's the same one that you saw on Ebay?
Wonder if the 6-1945 denotes the month 6 for June with the 1945 year. That's all I can contribute.
That is an awesome glove!!!
Imagine the history behind it? The stories it could tell!
I cant authenticate these things to save my life, but if it is a Goldsmith glove

looks like it is missing the top part of the webbing between the thumb and index finger.
