    The month of May gets its name from Maia, daughter of Atlas and Mother of Hermes.

    Now. The 4th. That’s more interesting. It’s a position in a series in number theory. Numbers have their origins in ancient, Neolithic, or even prehistoric times. In the form of marks for example.

    But I think that number systems are most likely credited to the 9th century in ancient India.

    So that’s what I know about May 4th.
