Poorly struck quarter

I’m not really a collector but have come across this quarter. Can anyone tell me anything about it?

It’s a 19XX quarter, struck about 10-15% off center. Nice find and welcome to the forum.

Looks like a genuine off center strike. Worth keeping.

It's not a poorly struck quarter if you like real mint errors. It's worth a lot more then 25¢. Nice find!! 👍

It's also great when you can see a real mint error with small blurry pictures! 👍

Can any sleuthing help narrow down the date? It's pre-spaghetti hair, no mintmark, and the third digit is partially visible.

Nice comments all! How would I go about having it appraised?

JBK - I’ve looked at the date with a magnifying glass and all I can tell is that the top of the 3rd digit is different than the top of the 2nd. But that is probably just a function of the overall error.

Since it's undated and uncertified, it's probably worth around $20.

Can I ask where or how you acquired it?

OAKSTAR - I’ve had it forever. I’m sure I got it in change somewhere
but couldn’t begin to know when. It’s just been in a box with a bunch of silver coins.

You also have some silver in that box.
