My short "Central States" report.
Hi guys,
Great Show!
Many neighboring dealer friends, along with
out-of-town coin people.
My first stop.
Directly to one of my good, out-of-town dealer friends.
Ben The Coin Geek!
Swell guy. Ben is a collector with my way of thinking towards peculiar buys.
I presented 3 cool items to him.
1, a strange PCGS ms 63, 1926s Peace Dollar.
"Overpolished Die"
Only 9 graded!
2 , old school PCI slabs
1882 Morgan Dollar
Then an Ancient coin
Well, he bought all 3!
What a guy. Very nice premiums too.
Then, returning the favor.
I picked out a very cool NGC "Fattie", Morgan w/ CAC sticker!
Spectacular Old coin.
Then, went out onto the Bourse floor...
Unusual "Bugs Bunny",
TOP POP
Then, at another table.
OGH, PCGS Proof!
Finally.
Roll of mixed dated Silver Roosevelt's
I had a ball. Fun, fun,fun.
Thanks 😉

Thanks for the report
Thanks for sharing your report! Congrats on the sales and purchases!
Thanks for the report, Joey. I think Ben used some of the money I’ve spent with him over the past18 months to buy your coins.
You’re welcome! 😜

"Kedzie Coins"
Boy, Steve has a cornucopia of stock spread out on one long table.
More than anyone at the show!
His LCS, is only 2 miles from my home, in Chicago.
His helper, Brian, is a great contributor for Steve, for many years!

I would rather see the dealer label ( would prefer it wasn’t there) than a ripped up hologram. Just my 2 cents.
All good stiff joe, I love the older slabs at times to
I see some of those dealers I’ve seen doing shows for several decades and it’s not just them I’m just as guilty……THEY GOT OLD.
I’m going to make this a little longer you don’t have to read it I’m reminiscing out loud. Walked up to a table recognized the name, no one at his table so I stopped and asked him if he recognized my face he said no. I told him I didn’t recognize his either but he has his name above the table must have been 30 years since I saw him last. So he is looking at a complete stranger and I said to him I was in your apartment in Seattle ( actually Mercer island) small apartment second floor above some kind of shop ( don’t remember what ) that caught his attention he looked like he hadn’t even thought about that apartment in a very long time. I told him I bought a $10 Liberty from you (much better date) with a 90 day buyback (probably 90 days) and he came back and paid me back with modest interest I’m sure I’m not a loan shark. He asks my name I think it was all coming back by now. He said he left Seattle in 2009 moved to Australia ( didn’t surprise me he would go all the way there for auctions) then Texas now Georgia. I told him what I’ve been up to. A pleasant memory for me. He got old.
Congrats Joey! Glad you had a good time. Wish I could have attended.

What are your plans for the roos. roll? Searching for errors or silver investment? Nice photos.
Hi, yeah, I search through them for any varieties/errors.
Thanks
Unfortunately, nothing today! Oh well, I take a loss. I do realize this when I turn in for silver value.
It's OK. You got to take the good with the bad.

I'm jealous that you live where there are dealers, shows and the like. Not WHERE you live but that you have the dealers and shows. lol
Congrats on the great day.
