I seen this posted on Facebook. All the replies are saying legit error! I'm no good at these. What say you?

    Legit as in done by a mint employee on purpose, yes possible.

    I've seen several examples that have that double denomination Cent and Dime combo...I would not give it consideration unless it was TPG certified...unless it was ridiculously cheap.

    This is the third one I have seen on various forums the last week or so.
    I could see a cent struck on a dime planchet but struck on a dime indicates
    that there is some mint sport going on.

    Right, a cent planchet wouldn't fit in the striking chamber of a minting press set up for striking dimes.

    It's actually the same possible scenario either way.

    A dime planchet or a struck dime gets stuck somewhere (most commonly in one of the big bins that are used for transporting planchets and coins around the facility), and then it gets dislodged later and goes through the striking process when cents are being struck.

    I think he was just seeking opinions. The last I seen, I think he was deciding on what tpg to send it to. I can't find the post anymore.
