Super Bowl on President's Day weekend?

Roger Goodell envisions an 18 game season and the Super Bowl being played on President's Day weekend so people can have Monday off.

NFL Could Move To 18-Game Season, Super Bowl President's Day Weekend

The NFL is considering an 18-game regular season and a Super Bowl on President's Day weekend.

Speaking on The Pat McAfee Show on Friday, Goodell said he would embrace a schedule featuring 18 regular-season games and two preseason contests, a significant shift from the current 17 regular-season and three preseason contests that was implemented in 2021.

"I think we're good at 17 now," Goodell said. "But, listen, we're looking at how we continue. I'm not a fan of the preseason." Then, gesturing toward a group of fans assembled nearby, Goodell said, "And I don't think these guys like it either." He continued: "The reality is, I'd rather replace a preseason game with a regular-season game any day. That's just picking quality. If we get to 18 and 2, that's not an unreasonable thing."

The NFL could add a second bye under an 18-game regular season that could push back the Super Bowl to President's Day weekend.

"And then you have Monday off," Goodell said.

The length of the season would have to be collectively bargained with the NFLPA.

Does Roger Goodell realize that not everyone has President's Day off?

I think now is an appropriate time for an appearance from Dracula Mel Kiper, we haven't heard from him in a while.

Does he think we all work at the post office or a bank?

I wish there was an official Aaron Rodgers day. I’m sure I could get that day off.

It’s just been announced there will be a national Tom Brady day. On that day every US citizen will get a chance to buy a Tom Brady Tornado Tom auto (TM Craig) for the low price of $6325 or two for an even 15k
Oh Tommy will be so happy!

that President's Monday is No Good for me...The post office is closed that day which means..No outgoing, nor any incoming material on that Monday..

  • Surprised he didn't suggest brackets and the entire month of March.

    Gobble.
