This is my first time using this website and I am tech challenged, so, I don't know how to take closeups without taking a screenshot, so I am completely new to this kind of process and have never
engaged in any discussions online. Please let me know any info that relates to this q

Errors? Looks heavily damaged to me.
It’s damaged and not an error.

To the OP: You have two comments so far saying this is damaged and not an error. Why do YOU think it is an error?
O.k. I'm pretty new at this, but what about coins that have what appears to be oil that may have came from the minting process? I have some that I know are from this and others that may or may not be an error from the mint.
Wow, what a mega rim bump! As others have said, it’s damage rather than mint errors.
Welcome to the forum!
It's BU. Beat up.
You've answered your own question. If you can't prove that it was produced during the minting process, then it's not an error.
The first step in collecting errors is understanding the minting process!
Without being too snarky about it - learn to take and crop photos.
A huge number of the people you are asking for help will see these and just ignore the post.

I thought that the rim would have got chewed off and that it wouldn't have got molded out of shape the way it did. My bad.
At todays rate they're probably worth 2 bits.
If you are going to be looking for errors, then learn the minting process and what constitutes an error.
What you are saying is not possible to happen during the minting process which is the only time an error can occur. Anything that happens after a coin leaves the striking chamber is damage, no matter how it happens.
Welcome, stick around, read threads, see how members do things.
That’s gotta be a retained grease strike through.
Is there any way to be able to determine a minting grease strike opposed to something else?
The welcome was sincere. The comment was a joke.
It is a wad of grease that leaves a dull strike in that area where it stuck when the die struck.
It’s no big deal unless it has a dramatic effect, and mostly it doesn’t.
Error hunting is tough, comedy is easy.
Can I borrow this photo? It is useful.
