S.S. Republic Shipwreck 3 coin set with 1861-O CSA Half at my LCS, kicking myself again?

I saw this 3 coin set at my LCS and almost bit because I am still kicking myself for selling an individual 1861-O SLH Confederate States issue in a similar S.S. Republic case. This one has an 1860-O U.S. issued half, 1861-O Louisiana State issued half after leaving the Union and a 1861-O CSA half.

I hope I haven't crossed any lines posting this here. I don't own it and it is a for sale item that came into one of our LCS today. When I purchased mine and created a thread there were plenty of members here with serious interest in a 1861-O CSA.

I think the set, complete with paperwork, is being sold for something near $2000. Was I crazy to pass?

Just about everything about coin collecting has some level of crazy attached to it. :D I get the attraction but for myself I just am not drawn to shipwreck coins.

    US
    Louisiana
    Confederate
    All in one swoop

I paid $1500 five years ago for three in individual boxes
I think it’s an average deal
    Possibly good deal
    Not “great” deal

These are all listed “B” coins
At one point these were graded A through C but some had no listing (A to C).

If he’d go $1850 I’d feel great about it.
I do like the outer leather case although that doesn’t really add any value.

    Video is cool.

I believe the one without A, B or C were more impaired than those with grades. All 3 are UNC(B) or UNC (C). What a great piece of history... actually gives us a peek into two different historic events. The CSA coin is real nice!
