My novel (?) estate plan using gold.

I have 2 SDBs at same bank. Both have quantity of gold. Beneficiary/s and I are singular signers for entry. But... I keep the keys. :)
Makes it simple to adjust for beneficiary ...ATTITUDE..... as time goes on. :o

Far easier and more sure than changing a will. Or a .... trust. :)

Saw a place in LA buying over $190,000 in gold in the 20 minutes I was waiting. No checks. Cash. Green.
More were waiting in line. Business as usual for them. <3

What kind of bank would tell a customer what another customer was doing with their money? If it were me, I'd say it's time to start looking for a new bank. RGDS!

The whole worlds off its rocker, buy Gold™.

Person did not care what others were seeing and did not hide it. It was known what she was doing. Yes, I do agree with the new bank idea, best wishes

She was checking her $100 bills to see if any were counterfeit. I guess I must have missed something. Not sure how that would translate into it was known that she was going to buy gold coins and jewelry.

Your original message led me to believe someone at the bank provided that information. Any bank discussing their clients business with other customers would not be a bank of mine. THKS!

I'm not following... Because someone is able to legally access the SDB does not make them the owner of the contents. It's not the same as having a POD designation or beneficiary on an account.

I think he means it is not necessary to change his will. He just needs to change the signature card at the bank to reflect who is able to access his SDB box when that date comes. And attitude is everything.
Did I read that right, MrFrank ?

I've thought about doing something like that. Except that safe deposit boxes may not be all that secure, or private.

Q: Are You Printing Money? Bernanke: Not Literally

    I knew it would happen.
