Primary collection is Bolivia and Peru pillar coinage outside of the 8R. I only own a few of those, as it is more expensive and easier to buy. So, I've never made it a priority, though I probably would have made more money buying it but I'd rather own more difficult to buy coins.
From Bolivia, I have 13 of the 16 coins in these four denominations, plus the 1769 8R. Mostly VF-XF.
From Peru, depends how someone wants to count it. I have several coins (well) below my minimum criteria, and which vary widely from the rest. So, I don't count those. Of those I do count, I have 42 of the 83 in NGC or PCGS holders and another five currently not graded. I'm not counting the 1751 1/2R, 1751 1R, or 1752 4R. It's not realistic I'll ever be able to buy those.
How long have you been at it WCC?
Primary collection since 2010 but bought it when I could find it since 2002. I didn't look as hard prior to 2010 and also passed on coins I now wish I had bought. I'm still waiting for those to show up again, though maybe one two did and still didn't win it.
No coins purchased this year so far. Therefore not so well.
How about over the years not just year?
They are going ok. Just this year I have not seen THE coin.
Ok, sending a lot out to GC tomorrow to clean up it all up. From now on collecting only Canada, and going to finish my Uruguay 1869-1894 set. Need to get focused at my old age.
Got progress on my Korean sets. Have #1 in one of those sets. But I havent been able to add to my 1896 Isla De Puerta Rico set. Still only have the 5 centavos out of the set of 5.
The substantial truth doctrine is an important defense in defamation law that allows individuals to avoid liability if the gist of their statement was true.
If I collected Canada I would do the 50 cents 1870-1936. They are by far my favourite. Of course the 1921 is the mega key and expensive in any grade. They don't call it the king of Canadian coins for nothing.
Good suggestion. I’m focusing on Victoria 25 and 50c, and also the George VI series. Thanks.
I say focus on 1 series and put your full resources into that series buy the best you can. Personally I prefer coins in G-04 to F-12 that is just me I like well presenting circulated coins. Always have.
Things are slowing down now.
Hope you are all having a good year!!!
