This is something weird with a usps tracking number

I purchased a coin on ebay in February and for some reason two different tracking numbers were provided.
The one number updated throughout and I received the coin in a few days and feedback left.
I never thought about the other tracking number until I got an ebay message saying my package is delivered. I wasn't expecting anything. So investigating, I found it was the other tracking number, but I did not receive anything in the mail on Saturday when it said it was delivered. Very weird.

Was it your address that it says it was delivered to?
It doesn't show a specific address, but yes it shows my zip code and local county post office out for delivery and then delivered but nothing actually delivered.
We have had misdelivered mail on occasion because there are other homes in our vicinity with the same address number but different street names.
When was the first tracking number delivered(day)?
I have had that same comment on a delivery and even though signature was required it was in my mailbox.

The other weird thing is the one that was actually delivered originated in Illinois. This current one seems to start at New York.
Just really bizarre in my opinion.
