It's not FS-801 (CONECA DDR-024). I took a quick look and came up with DDR-053. The strongest doubling I could see was on UNUM.This is interesting.. so are all the Die varieties based on the lettering not the image ? Just learning
No, not necessarily. If you're speaking of the doubled die reverse varieties for 1964 proof nickels, you'll have to look at all 66 of them to find out.
What Messydesk is saying is that there are 66 different DDR's for the 1964 proof nickel and yours matches a different variety than the FS-801. Each variety has different characteristics.
If you're still confused, read up on how dies are made and what doubled dies are.

1- crack, submit raw with grading and variety attribution
or
2- reholder with variety attribution

I did not check them all, but if messydeck is correct, ANACS will put it on the label. The best you could get at PCGS is MINOR VARIETY after paying for variety attribution.

@src8 your question is very scary. Would you like to define what a "die variety" means to you? It might be helpful also to break it down and define "die" and "variety" separately also.
