Modern cards knowing what to submit

With modern cards I dont have a clue how would you know whats centered well. For submitting modern cards do you just look for obvious defects. Maybe submit a card that will have a decent value as a psa 8 and if its a 9 or 10 your way ahead. With the Connor Bedard young gun a psa 8 is $450 so I submit at that value in the modern special then if it does better I will get contacted to pay more.

With Young Guns, I feel that determining whether its centered is challenging also. I feel like you just have to do searches for PSA 10s 9s 8s on eBay and see how they look in comparison to yours, how the Upper Deck logo is positioned. How much space between the team logo and Guns and the border of the card. The Young Guns can have a lot of issues with chipping on the edges so you want to take a close look at that.

Yes, submit at a PSA 8 max value for ultra modern and hope for the email/call.You never know what they find.
The upper left of the Bedard card doesn't look in great shape. You should examine your card under 10X magnification before submitting, looking at edges, surfaces, and corners.
