How is the summer show compared to the January one? I’ve never gone in the summer. I am considering it this year.

The summer show is more like a large regional show. It doesn’t really compare to Winter Fun, CSNS, or ANA but I still like to stop for a day or two since I’m within driving distance.

I would probably stay a day or two in Orlando. Deciding if it’s worth it or wait until winter
If you're only going to one, wait for Winter. If it’s not inconvenient and you were coincidentally in Florida, sure. If you have to go through the rigamarole of planning a trip and carving out time off, then I would steer you towards ANA or CSNS before summer fun.

You probably talked me out of it. I can buy a coin with a CAC sticker for a few hundred and not have to leave the house. I hate driving in Orlando
Summer FUN is about half the size of Winter FUN. It's always been a great show to attend, assuming you can drive to it. It would not be a show to fly to and book hotels for in my opinion.
Looking for Top Pop Mercury Dime Varieties & High Grade Mercury Dime Toners.
I went to Sumner Fun, Baltimore twice, ANA and many others and thought ANA and Summer Fun were both excellent.
Will not go back to Baltimore…seems like a show that has run its course in a city that has done the same.
Summer fun vs Dalton GA
Similar in size?

Summer show is not even close to winter show but it’s still fun… no pun intended.
I’ve gone a few times and don’t regret it.
BHNC #248 … 130 and counting.
My rough unofficial sense of what I may have read is about 675 dealers at Winter FUN, and about 275 at Summer FUN. I always try to attend both.

My collecting “Pride & Joy” is my PCGS Registry Dansco 7070 Set:

It’s a 45 minute drive for me so not to be missed. January is as others have said - much bigger.
Having fun while switching things up and focusing on a next level PCGS slabbed 1950+ type set, while still looking for great examples for the 7070.
I haven’t been to Dalton since 2021, but that show had decreased significantly in the number of dealers set up. Summer fun has gained in size.
I like the pace of Summer FUN.
It’s less crowded and hectic, and you can spend more time chatting with the dealers, etc.
Most of the major guys are still there, along with the TPGs.
In my case it’s easy to attend as it’s only an hour away.
