Need some help about a Silver octogonal like 1851 Humbert $50 Ingot. Possible pattern?

Hi, I know the 1851 Humbert $50 is an octogonal gold ingot. I have a coin exact the same but silver, non magnetic.
Can't find any information about this coin, is different to the commemorative and replicas you can find.
I read about the existence of two bronze patterns pieces and also a trial piece in copper, so do you think it's possible that this was a silver pattern?

I also believe this is rather modern and not from an official US Mint striking. The fine details in the eagle's wings appear to be less well done than on an original, just as the reverse appears less well done.

Where did you obtain it and are you familiar with its provenance?

Also note that the arrow feathers do not match between the "silver" piece and the original.
    Same for the shield outline.

How do you know it is silver and not nickel or other cheaper metal?

A specific gravity test will tell us if it is silver.
I know nothing about it. I am wondering if perhaps it is something from the Gold Rush centennial days, late 1940's or early 1950's. This is just a hunch based on nothing.

What does the edge look like? Also, get a pair of pliers and very carefully flatten those staples.

This type has a lettered edge rather than a reeded edge like you are showing.
