Wow, congratulations! I won't be surprised if that coin goes $10,000. I like the design of the TN quarter.image

Mike I'd really like I look at this one in person. I have never seen a MS69 State quarter close up.

P.S. FYI This seller lives very near me somewhere.

I've given in... I just ordered 15 mint sets to try my luck. Even an MS68 quarter, half, or Sac would be nice!

How do you get a 69 business strike unless you have Mint connections and you get your coin straight off the Mint press.image

I have two sure-fire 68's that I'm getting ready to submit -- came from a mint set purchased at random from my dealer.

I just searched thru a bunch of mint sets from a local dealer. While I didn't find any MS69s I did find a bunch that should go MS68. If an MS68 can make it out in a mint set then there is no reason why an MS69 can't.

That's true Greg. All it takes is the lack of that ONE tiny mark.

I see Mitch is, again, the high bidder on this as it winds down to the last couple hours.

Mitch---I keep wondering if you buy some of these high grade quarters for a "registry set in hiding" or are they all bought for clients and/or resale (I don't really expect you to answer, but I can't help wondering).

Just acquired by our own wondercoin at $2,426, with some other board members in the early bidding...

This closed lower than I thought it would--$2,426.

Although it's a pop-1 now, I'll assume that the factor it is not likely to remain so was built into that close.

I almost went $2500 but I just couldn't quite pull the trigger.
