Who do you feel was the instigator?

I can’t tell based on what I’ve read.

    If I remember correctly as I seldom do, Bird was running his mouth, severe trash talking. He told Doctor J " If you don't start guarding me I'll pour in 60 on you." Later in his career Larry regretted not showing the Doctor proper respect.

    I would believe that. Bird was about the best (or worst) trash talker ever.

    George Brett, Roger Clemens and Tommy Brady.
