Alex Ovechkin has 2 goals so far this evening puts him at 29 for this season. I believe he has 2 years left on his contract.

I hope he does not pass Gretzky's record but he likely will over 2 more seasons. Maybe the 1st ever to reach 900 goals or more.

I mean if he is just going to.hang around to pass him no matter how long it takes it will be a bad look, but if he is contributing and passes him then good for him

Lafleur was a way better scorer then all of them. He could do it on his own. Not sit in front of the net or the slot.
Ovechkin does have 100 more power play goals.
Alex generally lights up Minnesota, but usually it's a one timer from the left face off circle on the power play.
He is deadly from there.
I hope no one thinks he's better than Wayne, that would be silly.
