Dodgers couldn't avoid drama even with Shohei Ohtani's 1st HR ball
.....The Dodgers allegedly threatened to refuse to authenticate the ball if Roman decided to take it home, which would've made the ball effectively worthless and taken away her ability to sell it later.

The Dodgers had their little "sales pitch" all ready to scam the fan out of his ball.
What a bunch of creeps. I mean just cut the lucky fan a 100k check for crying out loud.
Or let them place a bet on S O's account.
First home run as a Dodger for 100K. Would have been a better story if they decided to keep it and then publicly destroy the ball. You have two middle fingers. Use them!
I know 100k estimates have been thrown around but even for as popular as he is thats wildly high. Theres nothing special about that ball other than being the first homerun as a Dodger when hes been in the league for 6 years already. Maybe just maybe it would get like 10k due to his popularity.
Not that it will make any difference in the outcome but Othani certainly lost credibility in the gambling issue by saying he met the girl who caught the ball when he didnt.
Wisconsin 2-6 against the SEC since 2007
