Grading (especially from pics) can be hard (hairlines vs die polish/toning lines)

Images can be deceptive. The attached is from a TrueView of a coin (1954 10c Proof, see my last post) that graded PF67. If you were going to rely just on the image you might scream "hairlines!", but in this case they're either die polish or toning lines

Philately will get you nowhere....

    As a general rule, grading proofs from images is a fool's errand.

    Nothing is as expensive as free money.

    As is often using just photos to grade business strikes above MS67 and even sometimes using them to determine whether a coin is MS or AU. But how else would we all have fun here in this forum! 😉
