1919-S Lincoln Cent

I have a 1919-S Lincoln Cent in my old collection that is in very good shape and I believe still considered RD. Is this worth getting appraised? Sorry for the picture quality - I can try to get better ones. Thanks so much!

Always hard to tell from Photos, but it looks like it had a cleaning long ago and has retoned. With that said, PCGS has (for me!) been a bugger lately in getting a cent with even the slightest amount of toning graded. I think you would be better off not submitting it. JMHO

Looks like a bit of wear on Lincoln’s cheek and jaw. Wouldn’t be worth the expense of grading as the cleaning would garner an AU Details grade. Also, there is a gouge or hole between the cheek and jaw.

On a positive note, this date is often weakly struck, especially in the upper left reverse quadrant & lower center reverse. Yours seems to be better in those areas than many I’ve seen. The other posters are correct, though - it has been cleaned.

    Cleaned AU. Not worth slabbing.
