2024 will be the last season where the A's play in Oakland.
For the 2025, 2026 and 2027 MLB seasons the A's will be playing in West Sacramento. For the 2028 season the A's will play in the new ball park that will be built in Las Vegas.
Continuing sad news for sports fans in the City Of Oakland, in Alameda County and in the East Bay.
Oakland's troubles just continue to get worse (with four major corporations head quartered in Oakland spending millions of dollars on private security that are hired to walk with and protect employees as they arrive to and leave from work and as they go out of their work place on lunch breaks; and with speculation that those corporations may decide to leave Oakland for good).
Two Alameda County Superior Court judges who work in Oakland were the victims of robbery last year in public in Oakland. One was robbed in a parking garage where the judge parked his car for work. The other was robbed at an ATM the retired judge was using. I have not heard if the Alameda County DA (who is the subject of a recall petition) ever filed charges against the persons who robbed the judges. I heard that the police determined gang members robbed the judge in the parking lot and that the police conducted a raid on the home of gang members.

Crime notwithstanding, the real culprit is Al Davis who started all the franchises moving.
The As really dont deserve the Vegas market. The NHL did it right having a ownership group that wants to win so they have a good product, the As are not that
