How bout them Mets?

bgrbgr Posts: 1,704 ✭✭✭✭✭

I hate the Mets since Cohen bought the team. If you don’t know anything about him, well, I wouldn’t recommend learning too much. He primarily made his money fleecing your 401k.

Anyways. I got to see my Brewers sweep the team I most despise right now and love to see the Mets sweat another season that could end before it starts.

Let’s go Tigers!

I can understand the situation, I thoroughly was fine with last year's MLB Season with my Sox being awful because the Yankees were just as awful lol

Reminds me about my feelings towards the Dallas Cowboys.

If the Eagles go 2-15 this upcoming season, but the two wins are against the Cowboys, I would consider it a successful season.

They are off to another hot start for sure.

Bucs-Brewers are always good games. I prefer the NL central with the Brewers, Pirates, and Reds on top.

Oh the feeling is mutual from Cowboys fans about the Eagles. :)

Last year they led the division until they played enough games to come back down to reality lol

Bottom of the 9th heroics saves the day and gets the Mets in the win column! Better get some Ws against the Reds or else that Atlanta series could put them in a tough spot again. With Miami playing "leasters" it seems like the celler is also going to be out of reach!

I would bet that Stearns could turn this club around in a few years, but I also bet that he's not going to be given the time to do it. As long as an owner like Cohen is in charge, and spending other people's money, this team is going to continue to be the epitome of a dumpster fire. Until, I suppose, there's insider trading in baseball!

Nimmo and Lindor in Mid-Season form and McNeil not far behind :) More like a medicine than juiced ball for them

of course it will turn around for those 3 automatic outs but how big a hole in the standings will they be by the time that happens?

Saw the stadium on the news today. Could not believe how barren the stands looked.

The Mets started out 0-5 and the Pirates started out 6-1. It took until April 19 for the Mets to have a better record than the Pirates.

Mets are 11-3 since that start. Could obviously be fool’s gold but it’s nice to see their bullpen not sucking for once.

Braves are still a heavy favorite to win the division:

    Pasted:

    ATLBraves
    -425
    PHIPhillies
    +400
    NYMMets
    +2000
    MIAMarlins
    +16000
    WAS
    +20000

I’m just going to wait until they slump again and then twist the knife some more. Love to hate the Mets. Until Cohen is gone at least.

Strider being out for the year is a blow to the Braves but it still should be them and Philly 1 and 2. Short of injury they have no excuse to miss the playoffs getting to beat up on the Nats and Marlins. It would be a very Mets thing to do to not even finish third with the Nats tanking and Alcantara out for the year for the Marlins

Wisconsin 2-6 against the SEC since 2007
