Dime Question

I was talking with my dad today and we were talking about coin collections and him and my grandpa have collections and unfortunately my grandpa passed away and my dad was looking through his coins and found a few he did not know my grandpa had. So my grandma told him to take them and put them in his collection. I told him about this site and if he had any questions I could post some on here. So here is the first one my dad was wondering about.

On the Blunt Tail, the tail of the 9 in the date is flat / square.
On the Pointed Tail, the tail of the 9 is rounded.

Thank you for that info. I was also wondering about the hair on the forehead. It looks different too.
The hair might be different, but it would take a very good photo for me to be able to see it.
It might be fun to look at the 2 coins with a microscope (or a loupe magnifier) to see if you can tell the difference on the tails.
The Variety Plus page also has photos of different RePunched Mint marks and DDRs which you could check for with a microscope or loupe.
