Congrats on another 100% completed set Carlos!!!

I figured that I'd keep 1972 Topps Baseball out of the title line since it seems that a number of folks are getting sick of seeing it. But, I thought that I had to give credit where credit was due!!!

Carlos today completed the 72 Topps 787 card baseball set!!! Congrats Carlos - GREAT JOB!!!!!

    Sweet,
huge set also, I am always thinking the 1979 BB is too big, but it's 61 cards less !!

Sincere congrats, the 74 BB is next, right ? image

Thank you to all...I was surprised to see the registry updated on a Sunday (Someone is working OT).

This is the 4th set that I've completed and my sights are set on completing the 1972 Topps football set.

Thanks again, and good luck on finishing your sets.

Awesome job, Carlos! What a mammoth set to complete, and virtually all of it in outstanding condition! That is a feat.

That set definitely is one of the "marathon" caliber sets to complete. Congratulations!

  • Tenacity and patience. An unlikely combination; but sort of what you need to complete this incredible set! Congratulations Carlos.

  • Great Job Carlos on what is a very difficult set to complete, not just in numbers, but an extremely difficult set condition-wise. Centering is always a problem as I believe Topps went overboard with "Tilt" to give the cards that truly cosmic effect with the colors and design.

    Congrats Carlos.

As everyone here who has tackled or at least tried to tackle the monumental task of completing a graded set knows, it takes money, patience, some more money, and a great passion to accomplish this....AND to have done it with multiple sets is beyond comprehension....and my wallet too!

But to do this and still be married....now that is a feat!!!!

    Scoop,

The wife actually went to a card show and bought the remaining cards that I needed for my set and gave them to me so I could send them into PSA. As you can tell by the grades of the final cards, she hasn't mastered the definition of "mint" (Average grade 6.5). It was nice of her nonetheless.

    WHAT A WOMAN!!!

  • Carlos,

Your wife actually went to the effort of finding the missing cards you needed? Hats off to her too! BTW, does she have a sister? image
